Presently, Abhishek Bachchan, Amit Sadh, and Nithya Menen starrer Breathe: Into the Shadows S2 is being aired on the OTT platform. The first season of the show was very much admired by the fans. As we all know that the show is a crime thriller in which Abhishek is essaying the role of Dr. Avinash Sabharwal who is suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder. But some sections seemed did not like the second season and criticized it. Opening on the same in a media chat, the Guru actor said that he finds it unfair and is also puzzled at the same time.
Clarifying on this more, Abhishek revealed that Breathe: Into the Shadows S2 is not a show about mental health or about multiple personality disorders. “This is just the part of the story and the character. It wasn’t a show to sensitize people about this and it never was the prime focus. It is extremely unfair. If we have to nitpick, I can find a problem with anything. You have to understand what the intention of the show is,” the actor was quoted saying.
He also revealed that he does not agree with what people are saying. “They don’t have any idea what they are talking about. Some four-five doctors worked on the script,” he further revealed. Abhishek also mentioned that a team of doctors was personally involved in the script.
Breathe: Into the Shadows S2 also stars Naveen Kasturia and Saiyami Kher. The series is produced by Vikram Malhotra and Abundantia Entertainment and it is written by Mayank, Vikram Tuli, Arshad Syed, Priya Saggi, and Abhijeet Deshpande.
