The Nightingale of India breathed her last at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on 6th Feb. 2022 due to her prolonged health conditions. She was 92. Legendary Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to Breach Candy hospital on January 8 and spent nearly a month in the ICU, after she was diagnosed with COVID-19 and pneumonia. Numerous famous celebs from different fraternities paid their last respect to the legendary singer at Mumbai's Shivaji Park. The painful news sent the whole nation into a state of grief. Ever since the news came out, fans have been mourning her loss. 

Social media is filled with netizens expressing their grief over her loss. Many celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Shraddha Kapoor, Sachin Tendulkar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and others had reached her residence to pay their last respects. Her funeral took place at Dadar’s Shivaji Park and finally, the legendary singer has been laid to rest with state honours.
